INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

72nd Independence day was celebrated on 15th of August, 2018 at Viswabharathi Medical College, Kurnool.Faculty members,staff members and students were present on the occasion. The National flag was hoisted by honorable Principal.After the flag hoisting,Principal elaborated on the coming year programmes to be implemented in ths Institute.He spoke about the starting of Digital Valuation centre with 30 nodes, upgradation of Exam halls.Prizes were distributed to best outgoing students. Prize distribution was given to the winner of Paediatric Quiz.Appreciation certificates along with financial rewards wrere given to Surgery, Ophthalmology & OBG Departments. Letter of appreciation was given to Dr.Jyoti, Professor & HOD of OBG who conducted Conference at Kurnool

WORLD AIDS DAY-2018

Every year world AIDS Day is observed on 1st of December. Theme for this year was KNOW YOUR STATUS (encourages everyone to know their HIV status). On this occasion, faculty from Department of Community Medicine, Viswabharathi Medical College observed World AIDS day by involving 3rd semester MBBS students. They involved actively by preparing posters and performed role play at College, RHTC and UHTC. The script for the role-play was written in the local language to enable the transfer of message to the village population of pyalakurthy and L.peta. This programme was a grand success as it attracted sizable population. The principal and medical superintendent who were present expressed their satisfaction and commended the participants
